The Claire House B&B is a textbook example of a location where religious history, relics, tragedy, care taking, and abandonment converge to create a potent environment for hauntings. Every era of its existence left behind emotional and spiritual residue—priests, nuns, children, relics, and the trauma of fire. Its spirits appear to be a blend of:

• Residual hauntings (footsteps, peeking figures)
• Intelligent entities (doorknob shaking, room-specific activity)
• Spiritual guardianship (the lingering presence of Bishop Conroy)

The house’s rebirth in 2019 didn’t quiet its history—it amplified it.

The Mid‑Orange Correctional Facility’s transformation from a boys’ Reformatory (1932–1976) to a medium‑security Adult Male prison (1977–2011) produced decades of emotional residue consisting of escapes, violence, tragic deaths, and isolation. 

Paranormal investigators from far and wide have consistently documented similar phenomena throughout the abandoned complex:

• Full‑bodied apparitions in corridors
• Shadow figures moving at the edges of vision
• Electrical disturbances affecting equipment
• Physical sensations of being touched
• Disembodied voices and phantom footsteps echoing through empty halls 

 Built around 1853 by brothers Charles and David Everett, the house was a typical rural farmhouse of its time, featuring original woodwork, grand staircases, and intricate details. Later owners included Richard and Ian Burton, who were briefly accused (without evidence) of involvement in stagecoach murders. The property’s land is also said to be on the site of a 1799 Native American massacre, adding to its eerie reputation  

 The house gained its infamous status when the Dandy family moved in in 1970. Strange disturbances began almost immediately: unexplained lights, disembodied voices, apparitions, and poltergeist activity such as moving objects and furniture.

 The family sought help from Father Alphonsus Trabold, a Franciscan priest, who performed a “structural exorcism” and cleansing of the house.  Despite these efforts, the hauntings intensified, with reports of physical attacks, cold hands, and violent object movement.

 Wildwood Sanitarium in Salamanca, NY is both a historic medical site and one of New York’s most active paranormal hotspots, with reports of shadow figures, disembodied voices, phantom touches, and unexplained movements still occurring today. 

 Built in 1900 and purchased in 1903 by Dr. John Henderson and Dr. Carol Perry.

Originally operated as a holistic hospital (opened in 1909), specializing in osteopathy, light therapy, hydrotherapy, and electrotherapy. 

In 1923, the state mandated its conversion into a tuberculosis clinic during the TB epidemic.

After both doctors died in 1941, the building became apartments in the 1950s, then sat abandoned for decades before being condemned.
